About
Dr. Solomon Laktineh, MD
Board-certified pediatrician and neonatologist. 45 years caring for families in Long Beach, Los Angeles, and Orange County. Now bringing that experience to families around the world through online consultations.
Who I am
I am Dr. Solomon Laktineh. For 45 years, I have practiced pediatrics and neonatology in Long Beach, California, primarily through Long Beach Family Clinic on Atlantic Ave. In that time I have cared for tens of thousands of children and the parents who love them, across three languages and dozens of cultures, in everything from routine well-child visits to the most complex newborn intensive care.
How I work
The most important thing I have learned in 45 years is that good pediatric care is fundamentally about listening. Children change quickly. Families are complex. The right answer for one child is the wrong answer for another. My approach is to ask careful questions, take what you tell me seriously, and offer guidance that fits your family rather than a generic checklist.
Online consultations work especially well for non-urgent questions about behavior, sleep, anxiety, discipline, transitions, school challenges, and emotional development. Thirty minutes on a video call is often the difference between getting useful guidance and putting it off another six months.

How to work with me
The simplest way is a 30-minute online consultation. Pick a time, share a short note about what you would like to discuss, and we meet on video for a focused, private conversation. Most families leave with one or two specific things to try this week and a clearer sense of what to do next.
